Innovative capacity of governments

Public sector innovation is about finding new and better ways to achieve positive public outcomes. The increased complexity of the challenges faced by governments has made enhancing innovative capacity systems an imperative. But for approaches or solutions create lasting impact, they must be embedded as part existing systems. In same way, a sector’s innovate depends on whether in functions mechanisms government. To assist achieving this this, OECD Observatory Sector Innovation (OPSI) developed Innovative Capacity Framework. It focuses their governing mechanisms, rules, processes, norms other factors. Framework includes guidelines making integral policy administration improving quickly adapt changing environments and, ultimately, build more robust sustainable solutions.
